SUMMARY: The Bremerton Ice Arena has provided youth, adult and senior ice skating opportunities
since 2003 through their concession agreement managed by the Parks and Recreation Department
The Ice Arena has petitioned the City to allow the sale of beer and wine within their building as a
revenue enhancement to help ensure the continued operation of the this facility located in Eastpark
The proposed ordinance amends BMC section 13 04 140 to allow the sale of beer and wine under
certain conditions Included in these conditions is the prohibition of alcohol in the viewing stands or
on the ice surface unless the facility is being rented for a private function The Bremerton Park
Commission recommended the proposed ordinance at their August 23 meeting
