RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the assessment roll for Local Improvement District
No. 172, providing for the assessment to pay the improvement
of Fourth Street from the centerline of Park Avenue and Fourth
Street East to the centerline of Washington Avenue, has been
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Bremerton.
N0;'1, THEREFORE, be it resolved that Saturday, the 1st day
of October, 1938, at 10 o'clock A.M. of said day at the Comm-
ission Chambers at the City Hall of the City of Bremerton be and
the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for the hearing
upon said assessment roll; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to give notice of the time and
place of said hearing to all persons who may desire to object
to such assessment roll to make such objections in writing and
file the same with the City Clerk at or prior to the date fixed
for such hearing, by written notice to the owner or the reputed
owner of the different properties whose name appears upon said
assessment roll, by mailing a notice thereof at least fifteen
(15) days before the date herein set for such hearing to such
owner or reputed owner at the address of such owner as shown on
the tax rolls of the County 'Treasurer for the property described
on said list and shall further give notice of such hearing by
publishing such notice at least five (5) times in the official
newspaper, the last publication of which shall be at least
fifteen (15) days prior to the date herein fixed for said hear-
ing. The above mentioned improvements include the construction
of a concrete slab two and one -half feet wide on each side of
the present paving; alteration of the present sidewalk on each
side thereof, the construction of concrete curbs and gutters,
changing and replacing of the present ornamental lights, together
with the installation of additional ornamental lights, adjustment
of manholes and catch basins as necessary, together with the
doing of any and all other work in connection therewith.
Passed by the City Commission, signed by the ikayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this
24th day of August, 1938.
