Hon. Mayor and City Commission
Bremerton, Washington
Gentlemen: SR #21, in Bremerton
On April 21, 1934 the City of Bremerton adopted resolution No. 10 -34
concerning; the route of State Road No. 21 through the city and which is
required by the Bureau of Public Roads when Federal funds are spent on
such improvements. The work now contemplated in the City of Bremerton
is to be paid for by funds under the Emergency Appropriation Act of 1935
and one of the requirements by the government is that the city agree to
maintain the project after completion by the State. This maintenance is
also covered in Chapter 111 of the Session Laws of the State of Wash-
ington for 1935.
Therefore I am enclosing herewith a resolution prepared on prescribed
Form A which, in connection with other items as previously adopted, con-
tains an agreement whereby the city will maintain Works Program improve-
ments. You will also note that the description has been lengthened for
the reason that the original resolution did not cover that portion of
State Road No. 21 running along 6th Ave. from Callow Ave. easterly to
Pacific Ave.; thence along Pacific Ave. and lst St. to the ferry dock
on Port Orchard Bay.
Will you please adopt this resolution at the next regular meeting of your
City Commission and supply this office with four certified copies of same.
It will be appreciated if the matter be given your special attention in
order that work may not be delayed nor funds vathheld by the Bureau of
Public Roads. ,
Yours very truly,
