SUMMARY: The electrical service for the warehouse budding at 100 Oyster Bay Avenue comes out
of the maintenance buildings main electrical panel The panel is insufficient for this use To help
reduce the load on the existing panel and provide additional electrical capacity for the warehouse
budding, the services should be separated Discussion with PSE for the new service has a new
electrical vault (handhold) being placed on the City property at the ROW line as a point of
connection An easement from the City to PSE is required for installation of this vault and approval
for the costs associated with separation of the services
ATTACHMENTS: 1 Council Summary, and 2 PSE easement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) Total cost for completion of the separation is
$54,320 which will come from the Water Fund who owns the budding This cost has been included in
the budget for this year

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the easement with PSE
with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented and authorize the Public Works and
Utilities Department to finalize and execute contracts to complete the separation of the services
