RESOLUTION RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BRE14MMON, confirming the agree-
ment of Blyth & Co., Inc., with the City of Bremerton to
purchase bonds on certain conditions.
1 at a special election held in the 1 "Ity
of Bremerton.. Washington, on November 8, 1938, the qualified
voters of said city duly adopted a proposition providing for
a system or plan for the making of certain additions and
improvements to the waterworks system of the City of Bremerton
and the issuance of Special Water Revenue Bonds in the sum
of $200,000.00 to pay therefor; and,
MIEREAS, bids were called for the sale of said
bonds on the 29th day of December, 1938; and,
',uIIEHEAS, on the said date the bid of Blyth
Inc., was found to be the best bid; that by the terms of said
bid said Blyth E, Co., Inc. , agreed to pay accrued interest on
said bonds from the date thereof, January 1, 1939, to t:1e date
of delivery on condition that the bonds be delivered within
thirty (30) days of the date of said bid; and,
'VJHERi�AS, the delivery of said bonds was unavoidably
delayed, but 3lyth CO. Co., Inc., on February 20, 1930, offered
to continue its bid in force on the condition it be required
to pay accrued interest tliereon only to February 15, 1939; arid,
WIIERI',AS, the Corunissioners of the City of Bremerton
by letter dated .February 21, 1939, agreed to such chance;
NOW, THEREFORL, 3E IT RESOLVED by the City Coimisgion
of the City of Bremerton as follows:
That the above mentioned agreement bet ►roen 31yth E
Co., Inc., and the City of Bremerton be and is hereby in all
respects accepted and confirmed and that upon delivery of said
bonds by the city to tie said Blyth L Co., Inc., the latter
to
shall only be required to pay therefor the amount of their bid
for the principal of tae bonds, plus accrued interest only to
»ebruary 15, 1939.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Commission of the
City of Bremerton, at a meeting thereof, held on the /& of
Play, 1939.
