SUMMARY: The State of Washington in constructing State Route 3 divided Arsenal Way into two
separate roadways The City requests that these two remnant portions of Arsenal Way be renamed
to provide for public safety and to promote street name continuity The first portion is located within
the redevelopment of Westpark Due to roadways being relocated and removed, it is requested to
change the portion of Arsenal Way west of Oyster Bay to Russell Road The second portion of
Arsenal Way is south of Kitsap Way and is a dead end street The City policies for Addressing of
Land and Street Naming shall promote street name continuity The connecting street to the north of
the intersection with Arsenal Way is Shorewood Drive and it is requested to change that portion to
Shorewood Drive
