SUMMARY: The Arts Commission is committed to supporting local artists and art events The
Bremerton Parks Department hosts the annual Sidewalk Art contest as part of the Blackberry Festival
activities and has asked the Arts Commission to sponsor the purchase of premium art chalk to
improve the quality of the images created for this contest. At the June 9, 2011 Arts Commission
meeting, the Arts Commissioners unammously approved the purchase of art chalk in support of this
local art event
