Change Order No 1
CHANGE ORDER NO 01 DESCRIPTION
Upon inspection by the roofing contractor, Fields Roof Service, we were notified
of damaged and wet insulation panels under the old built up roof that was being
removed as part of the Police Facility — West Section Roof Replacement Project
#5044
It was determined that all of the roof insulation panels needed to be removed and
replaced This was due to water damage from past roof leakage
At bid award time, we had an idea that some would need replacement but unsure
how much was needed until the old roof was removed Cost for replacement
was determined at bid award (see attached) The new roof insulation panels
meet all current Building Code requirements, and provide a much improved
insulation "R" value than the thinner faulty old insulation panels
General Fund Facility Mayor Maintenance Budget does have funds available for
this project change order, to cover all associated costs without drastically
affecting any other 2011 maintenance projects
