SUBJECT: Easement and Relocation Study Session Date July 13, 2011
Agreement between the City of Bremerton COUNCIL MEETING Date July 20, 2011
and Puget Sound Energy pursuant to the Department Executive
Park Avenue Plaza project to accommodate Presenter Gary Sexton
existing and future retail and public space Phone 360- 981 -1025
SUMMARY: PSE transformers and switch relocation, and partial underground ng pursuant to Facility
Relocation Agreement necessary to create retail and public space on south east section of Park
Avenue north of Burwell PSE relocation cost is estimated to be 159,099 08 (Attachment A)
Relocation is to new easement location on north west side of Park Avenue south of Fourth Street
pursuant to the Easement Agreement (Attachment B) pursuant to the PSE design (Attachment C)
The relocation is also the first leg of United Way utility undergrounding The exact legal description
will be subsequently attached "as built" and recorded in conjunction with release of current/existing
PSE easement
ATTACHMENTS: PSE Easement, PSE Facility Relocation Agreement, PSE design drawings
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) Relocation cost estimate is $159,099 08 This
amount will be funded by the Federal EDA grant at 50% The remaining amount wil b e part of the

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move that the City approve and confirm the Park Avenue (between 4`
St and Burwell St ) Puget Sound Energy Facility Relocation Agreement and the site relocation
Easement, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement as approved by the City
Attorney with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented
