SUMMARY: The Bremerton Municipal Court staff agreed to take 8 furlough days in 2011 to assist in
making the necessary cuts to our budget Five of those dates resulted in the closure of the court to
the public Our security contract, already in place at the time the agreement was made, indicated we
would pay our contracted security officer for those dates The security officer has requested to have
those days off without pay This will result in a saving to the city consisting of 5 days of his wages
ATTACHMENTS:_ The Amendment with Kitsap County:
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) Savings of $777 91 for the 2011 budget

Move to approve the contract amendment with Kitsap County and authorize the Mayor to finalize and
execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented
