SUMMARY: The existing five year contract between Kitsap County and the City of Bremerton for funding of
BKAT expired on December 31, 2010 Through this contract, Kitsap County provides the facility at Tibardis
Road for BKAT use and provided for $163,500 of county PEG fees toward the purchase and maintenance of
necessary capital equipment for BKAT services The City and County have negotiated a new contract
extension for five years to be effective January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2015 This extension increases
the Public Educational Government (PEG) fee payment from the county to $169,000 and keeps all other
contract terms the same The County will be approving this contract extension at its meeting on April 11, 2011
through its consent agenda It is staff's recommendation that the Council also approve this housekeeping
measure on May 4, 2011

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount). PEG fee funding from the County will be increased from
$163,500 over a five year period to $169,000 over the next five year period There are no other fiscal impacts

Move to approve the Contract Amendment with Kitsap County for Public Access Television Funding and authorize
the Mayor to finalize and execute the Contract Amendment with substantially the same terms and conditions as
presented
