SUMMARY:
The attached Community Forestry Assistance Grant Agreement with the Washington State Dept of
Natural Resources will help pay for the cost of shade and habitat trees at Lions Park The $10,000
grant is timely in that a January windstorm severely damaged a number of existing park trees
necessitating their removal The local match for this grant originates from a mixture of previously
allocated Lions Park renovation funds and volunteer labor The tree planting is expected to be
complete by May 31
