Interlocal Agreement between Department Public Works & Ublities
Kitsap County Health District and Presenter K Cahall, Wtr Res Mgr
City of Bremerton for IDDE Grant Phone 473 -2315
SUMMARY: The Kitsap County Health District (KCHD) was awarded a Department of Ecology (Ecology)
Stormwater Implementation Grant to fund the Kitsap Regional Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination
(IDDE) Clean Runoff Project to coordinate stormwater pollution prevention activities for several Kitsap
County jurisdictions, including Bremerton We have been workmg on this grant since early 2009 One of the
scope items was for the City to inspect and assist businesses with proper stormwater best management practices
which was completed in 2010 There is also a scope item to provide follow -up visits with locations with
deficiencies Because of a lack of personnel at the City to perform the follow -up visits, the health district has
agreed to conduct the follow -up visits for all the jurisdictions working under tins grant This ILA Amendment
# 1 is to allocate the funding to do this work to the health district

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount)
The onginal amount for Bremerton in the grant for Task 3 "Commercial Property Inspection/Educauon" was
$108,000 and this will be reduced by $20,000 to $88,000
