SUMMARY:
The attached resolution authorizes staff to submit an application to the Recreation and Conservation
Office Boating Facilities Program for $85,000 of financial assistance needed to design and permit
reconstruction of the Lions Park Boat Launch The park boat launch has been out of service for
approximately 3 years following severe storm damage to the floating dock Reconstruction of the boat
launch is included in the Lions Park master plan and is supported by the Bremerton Park Board and
the Kitsap Poggie Club The resolution to apply for grant funds does not obligate the City to proceed
with the project, if the grant application is successful, a funding agreement will be placed on City
Council's agenda for consideration at a later date

I move to approve the resolution authorizing application to the Recreation and Conservation Office for
Lions Park boat launch improvement grant and authorize the mayor to finalize and execute the
resolution with substantially the same terms
