SUMMARY: The City has received an offer to purchase the former Department of Emergency
Management property located at the northeast corner of 17' Street and Warren Avenue from Krtsap
County for $75,000 The former Department of Emergency Management property and the former
Cencom property, because of the configuration of the properties, are more marketable and valuable if
sold simultaneously to a third party
ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Purchase and Sale Agreement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) $40,000 will be paid from the general fund
facilities at closing The remaining $35,000 will be paid at the time the City re -sells the Department
of Emergency Management parcel in conjunction with the former Cencom parcel to a private
purchaser or three years which ever is sooner Reimbursement of the $40,000, along with costs for
the demolition and removal of the existing structure, to the general fund will be made upon sale of the

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement with Kitsap
County for the purchase of the former Department of Emergency Management property and authorize
the Mayor finalize and execute this Agreement in substantially the same terms and conditions as
presented as well as any other documents necessary to complete the transaction and further authorize
the demolition and removal of the existing structure on the property
