SUMMARY: Activities at the former Chevron Property have been on -going since 2005, and have
been administered as a component of the Boardwalk Project Work completed to date includes
contamination testing, site remediation and completion of associated studies and documentation in
compliance with an Ecology Agreed Order Additional remediation and compliance testing remains,
and is proposed to be completed under a new contract with the consultant The requested action
before Council is approval of a contract with Parametnx for continued remediation activities at the
former Chevron Property

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) This work is included in the Fund 311 budget
which is $270,000 for 2011 Delays in a separate project anticipated to be completed in 2010 will
result in 2011 expenditures in Fund 311 of approximately $425,000 A separate Agenda Item will
address this issue

Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix, in the amount of $123,786
(including sales tax) and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the contract with substantially
the same terms and conditions as presented
