explained that City Council adopted Resolution No 3110 on February 17, 2010 asking for continued
funding of the Frances Haddon Morgan Center by the State of Washington The Frances Haddon
Morgan Center (FHMC) has been providing necessary services in the City of Bremerton to severely
disabled children, adults and their families since 1972 FHMC is an integral part of the Bremerton
community and has participated in and supported many local community activities and events
Governor Gregoire has proposed the elimination of funding for FHMC A loss of funding for FHMC
would not only impact some for the City of Bremerton's most vulnerable residents, but their
caretakers as well The action before City Council is adoption of Resolution No 3134, thereby asking
the State of Washington to continue its support of the Frances Haddon Morgan Center rather than
eliminating much needed funding
