BE IT RESOLVED BY TflE CITY COMMISSION �F THE CITY OF BREMERTON,
Section One. 32�at the pnblic interest requirea the following improvement
to be made
Section T�o. That it is the intention of the City Coa�i�sion of the City
oY Bremerton to order the imurovement of Hi� Avenue from the North Bdargin of
F3fth Street to the Cent�r I,ine of Eleventh Street; Veneta Avenue from the
North Ead of the present pavement (located midwa,� between Eighth Street and
Nint�. Street) north to the South BQargin of Eleventh Street; Chester Avenue
from the Aorth Ead of the present pavement (located miday between Ei�th Street
and Ninth Street) nor�h to the South Margin of Eleventh Street; Ninth Street
from the 9�est �Iargin of Chester Avenue west to the Ea.st biargin of Hi� Avenue;
Tenth Street from the West Maargln of Ghester Avenue west to the East t�dargin of
Veneta Avenue; and Eleventh Street from the Eaet Ddaxgin of Chester Avenue west
to the Center Line of Hi� Avenue by clearing; grubbing; g7rading; conatru:cting,
altering or lovrering main and lateral sewers and sevrer appurtenances; by con-
etrnction of cnrba; by construction or ad,justing of water mains and appurten-
a.nces providing for drainage; by construction and alteration of sidewalks; and
by paning with one aourse concrete panement, together with any aad all other
e�ork to finish the job in a good and worl�ua�nlike ma.nner and to do such other
and further work in connection therewith as is necessary to make such
irmarovement a complete �job, aIl in accordance with the plans and specificatione
to be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bremerton.
Section Three. The City Eagineer oftheCity of Breanerton is hereby
directed to submit ta the City Commission at or prior to the date flxed for
hearing proteats to eaid improvement, the eetimated cost and expenee of auch
imurovement and. a atatement of the proportionate amount thereoP, which should
be borne by the property within the proposed assessment district, aad a state-
ment of the aggregate assessed va.lua.tion of the real property, exclusive of
impro�r�mente� within such proposed d3strict according to the va7.Ua.tion last
placed upon it for the purpose of a general taxation, toget�er with a diagram
or plan showing thereon the lots, tracts and parcel8 of land �.nd other
nroperty which will be speclally benefitted thereby, and the estimated amount
of the cost a.nd expense of such imnrovement to be borne by each lot, tract or
parcel of land ar other property.
Section Four. That there ahall be assessed against that portion of the
proper�y lying bet�veen the termini of said improeement and e$tending back
from th.e marginal lines of each of said atreeta so improved to the middle of
the block each sfde thereof, which distance back shall be at least 90 Yeet
from said atreetmargin, in the mode prescribed by 3ection 1j, Chapter 9g of
the Session 7�awe of the State of 9Pashington for 1911, and. Seation 2, Chapter
168 of th� Sessian Laws o� �9�5 of said atate, the cost of said improvemeats,
excenting such as mqy be borne by the general fund and excepting such portion
as maq be borne by any department of the United States government. ����
Section Five. The City Clerk be and he is hereb9 directed to give notice
of the date of such he�rings to each owuer or reputed ovrusr of anyaud aIl lots,
tracts or parcels of land or other property epecially benefitted bythe im-
provement, by mailing to the owner or reputed ovrner of the propert�y, as shown
on the t�x rolls of the countytreasurer. at the address shown thereon, a notice
setting forth the na.ture of the proposed improvement, ths total estimated cost
and the estimated benefita to tre part=culax lot, tract or parcel, and the
date of the heaxing before the City Commission at least 15 daya before the
date fixed herein for such hearing.

protests against said improvement by any persons interested therein; and the
City Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and directed to publish a cop8 of
this reaolution in the official newapaper of said city for at least two suc-
cessive isaues; the first issus shall be at least 15 days prior to the dats
herein fiaed for asid hearing anci. said publication, together with the ma.iling
of the cards hereina.bove provided to the owners or re�puted owners of t.he lots
and parcele of land included in eu�ch improvement as hereinbefore set forth,
ehall be due and legal notice to a11 concerned in said proposed improvement.
