SUMMARY The contract for solid waste collect�on and disposal ends at the end of 2010 This contract is
for the next eight years with an option to extend for an add�t�onal year tvv�ce The contract proposes no rate
increase for 201 l, a 3 5% mcrease m 2012 and 2013, and reverts to a CPI mcrease m 2014 The contract
requires a resolution for compliance w�th RCW requirements As part of this contract, new carts for
household garbage, recyclmg, and yard waste would be delivered m the �rst few months of 2012 In
addition, the contract establishes an annual clean-up day for residents to dispose of items at locations
throughout the City
