Section 1. That the public interest requires the followir�g '
i�.provement to be made.
Section 2. That it is t�e intention of the Ci�;y Comr�ission
of t' e City oP br=.merton to order the improvement of Rainier
Avenue from the I�orth margin of 5 ixth Street North to the city
li�::its at Nir.th Street; Olympic �venue Prom the north margin of
Sixth Street north to a poini: 131.2 Yeet north of the center line of
Ei�hth Street; Seventh Street from the Eest mar�in of �anier �venue
east to the west margin of Olympic Avenue; and Ei�hth �treet from �
the east margin oP �nieF Avenue east to the west margin of
Olym�ic ��,venue by �roviding f'or the drainage thereof; by constructing
conerete sidev�alks, five fe.et v�ide �r.d f' our it�ches thick, on
both si�es thereof; anci �y constructin� sev�ers or �.ainier ��venue
from the intersecti�n of �he center lines of n�inier Avenue and
Sixth S�reet north along the center line of �ainiex Avenu� to a
Foint thirt� (30} feEt north of the intersection of the center lines
of Rainier �v�nue and �i�hth Street; and from the in�ersection of
the cer�ter lines of R�inier Avenue anc7 Seventh Street east to a
point seventy (?0) feet w�.st of th� intersecti��n of' tre cen�er lines
of Secenth Stre�t and Olympie Avenue; and from the intersection
of the eenter lines of �ainier �vEnue ar.a ii�ht}, Stree�� east to
a point seventy (70) feet wESt of the interseetion of the center
lines of yi�hth Street and Olympic Avenue, to�;ether �vith any and
all other 1��ork to finish� tr:e �ob in a good and v;or�manlike manrer
and to do sucj,� other and further �:ork in connection there��ith as is

offi ce of the City Clerk of the City of' �remerton.
Section 3. The �ity =�ngineer of tre �i tSr of Bremerton is
hereby directed to submit to the City Comir.ission at or prior to
the d�te Pixed tor hearin� protests to said improvemant, the
esti ated eost and e�rnense �f st�ch improver�ent and a st�te�jent of
the p.roportionate �mount thereof' �ahich should be borne by the
property v!it�in the �roposed assess�cent district, ar_c a stateruent
of the ag�reg�te assessed valuatior of the re�l groperty, eg�lusive
o� im�roven�ents, v�itllin such rrop�s�:� �istr,.ct accordirg to the
v�luation last plac°d upon it for the �.�rpose of �eneral taxation,
to�ether v�ith e dia�'��m or plan sho��in�: thereon the lots, t��°acts
and P�rceZs o�' Iancl and othsr propert; v�Jrich �vill be :,pecially
benefitted thereby, and the esti_.ated a�tount of the cost and expense
of such improve�en� to be b�rne b�� each lot, tract or parcel of

Section 4. That there shall be assessed ag�inst that portion
of the pro�ert,T lt�� ng betvae�n the te_r�uini of said imprc�vement and
extendin�; bacls. from the mar�inal lines of each of' said streets
so improved to the middle of the block each siae thereo#', ��hich
distance back s��ll be at least ninety (90) feet from said street
mQr�in, in the mode prescribed by �ection 1�, �%haFter 9r of the
�ession Laws of 1915 0�' saia state, the cost of said impr�:ve-�;ents,
excEFting such as i�:ay be ��orne by the �eneral fund ancl exce�ting
such por.tior. �s n3y be borne by an;� aep�rt�.ent of the �nit�d St�tes
Government or the ���shington L�ergerc�T Relief Ad�i.nistr.ation.

Section 5. The City dlerk be an�3 he i s hereb�r directed to
{;ive notice of the date of such he�ring to each o�aner or reputed
o��r.er of any and a11 lots, tracts or parcels of l�nd or other
r.roperty s�ecially ber_�fitted by the improvement, by mailin� to
the av�ner or reputea oc�ner o the property,• as sh�.1n on the tax
rolls of the county tre�surer at the address sho��n thereon, a
rotice settin� �'orth t�e natur� of the proposed improve�er_t, the
total estimated cost and the �sti_:.ated bene�'its to the particular
lot, tr�et or parcel, end the d�te of hearin� bef'ore the City
Comr:ission, at least fifteen (15) days befbre the date figed herein
for such hearing.
Section 6. That Saturday, the ��day of ���.�`' 1935,
at 10 A.I�. of said d�y, be end the same is hereby Piged �s the
date of' riearin� protests against s:id imnrovement t�y any ne��sons
interested there in, and the Cit�1 Clerk be and he i s hereby
suthorized anc directed to publish a cop;� of this resol.ution in
tre official ne4�spaper of said citST for at least tcro successive issues,
the f irst issue shall be 9t Ieast fifteer. (15) da,y prior to the
date herein fixed for s�id he�rin�, ena snid F�,blie�tion, together
with the ��ilin� of the eards hereira�ove �rovided to �he o�ners
or reputed o�ners of the lots and ��rcels of land includeC in such
im�r��vemer_t, as hereinbeforE set forth, sh�.11 be due and le�al
notice t� all. concerned in saia proposed improvement.
