CITY COUNCIL BUDGET SESSION MINUTES O

The Budget Session of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the Council

Bremerton, Washington, Monday, November 8, 2010, at 4:00 PM, with Council President Nick Wofford
presiding. Council members present were Will Maupin, Carol Arends, Dianne Robinson, Greg Wheeler,
Roy Runyon, Adam Brockus, Cecil McConnell, and Jim McDonald. Legislative Assistant Lori Smith was
present to provide staff support to the Council.
President Wofford announced that the 2011 Budget Session was for the Council to hear presentations
on the proposed budget. It was further announced that this Budget Session was open to the public, but
there would be no opportunities for input or participation; that no action will be taken, and the content of
these items is subject to change.
Cathv Johnson, Interim Financial Services Director, presented information regarding the proposed 2011
Budget for the City of Bremerton; and Vincent Akhimie, Director of Public Works & Utilities provided an
overview of the "Public Works & Utilities" Department including their Mission Statement; number of
employees; the Expenditure Budget; and Capital Improvement Plan. Public Works and Utilities staff then
provided presentations on the following:
1) Engineering
2) General Facilities
President Wofford called a 15-minute break from 5:30 to 5:45 PM...
3) Public Works Operations; including Electronics, Streets, and Sign Shop
4) Arterial Streets
5) Eve'rgreen Park Remediation
6) Water Utility
7) Forestry
8) Wastewater Utility
9) Stormwater Utility
10) Equipment Services and Equipment Rental Reserve Operations & Maintenance
With no further business, President Wofford adjourned the Study Session at approximately 7:35 PM.
