AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, amending Section 17.60.070 of the
Bremerton Municipal Code relating to Floodplain Management.
WHEREAS, City Council passed Ordinance No. 5123 amending Section
17.60.070 of the Bremerton Municipal Code relating to Floodplain Management; and
. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 5123 inadvertently referenced "The Flood Insurance �
Study for the City of Bremerton" when it should have referenced "The Flood Insurance Study for
Kitsap County and Incorporated Areas"; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend Bremerton Municipal Code Section
17.60.070 provisions to correct the aforementioned reference; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 17.60.070 of the Bremerton Municipal Code
entitled "Floodplain Management" is hereby amended to read as follows:
The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal Insurance Administration in a
scientific and engineering report entitled "The Flood Insurance Study for �'°�
��e�e�e�I�itsap Countv and Incorporated Areas" dated, November 4, 2010 and any revisions
thereto, with accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps, and any revisions thereto, are hereby
adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter. The Flood Insurance Study is on
file at the Bremerton Department of Community Development, 345 6th Street, Suite 600,
Bremerton, WA 98337.
SECTION 2. Severabilitv. If any one or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Ordinance are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Ordinance and the same shall remain
in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force ten (10) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
