A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of '
Bremerton, Washington, authorizing negotiation of . the grant _
agreement between the City of Bremerton and the Department of
Ecology for the Stormwater Retrofit and Low-Impact
Development (LID) Grant.
WHEREAS, the City received $1,343,000 no match grant for Retrofit of Central
Bremerton neighborhoods to accommodate LID features to mitigate stormwater impacts; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified S Street between Chester and Veneta Streets;
Pacific Avenue between 11` Street and Evergreen Park; Manette Business Area; and Anderson
Cove as sites conducive to LID and consistent with grant requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified and estimated costs to implement LID
improvements at S Street between Chester and Veneta Streets; Pacific Avenue between 1 lth
Street and Evergreen Park; Manette Business Area; and Anderson Cove; NOW THEREFORE,
T�HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to negotiation a grant agreement with the
Department of Ecology.
SECTION 2. Any fund assistance received will be used for implementation of
the projects referenced above.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby certifies that it has secured funding for its
share ofproject funding.
SECTION 4. The City Council acknowledges that the City is responsible for
supporting all non-cash commitments to this project should they not materialize (if applicable).
SECTION 5. The City Council acknowledges that the grant funds be expended
in the following amounts: $100,000 for S Street between Chester and Veneta Streets; $193,000
for Pacific Avenue between 11` Street and Evergreen Park; $250,000 for the Manette Business
Area; and $800,000 for Anderson Cove.
SECTION 6. The City Council provided appropriate opportunity for public
comment on this application.
SECTION 7. Severabilitv. If any one or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not

affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same sha11 remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 8. E ffective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
