October 13, 2010
A Study Session of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City
Council Conference Room 603 of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER 345 6 Street,
Bremerton, Washington, Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at 5:00 PM, with Council Vice-
President Will Maupin presiding. Council Members present were Carol Arends, Dianne
Robinson, Greg Wheeler, Roy Runyon, Adam Brockus, Cecil McConnell, and Jim McDonald.
Council President Nick Wofford was absent. Legislative Assistant Lori Smith was present to
provide staff support.
Vice-President Maupin announced that,the Study Session was open to the public, however
there would be no opportunities for input or participation; that no action will be taken, and the
content of these items is subject to change.
A. NON-DISCUSSION ITEMS
1. Contract Award to PiTrvEY BowES for Lease of Connect+2000 Mailing System — Cathy
Johnson, Interim Financial Services Director; and Adam Brockus, Finance Committee
Chair Consent Agenda on Ocfober 20, 2010
2. Proposed resolution between the City of Bremerton and South Kitsap Fire & Rescue ta
create a Regional Fire Authority Planning Committee pursuant to RCW 52.26 — Fire

6. Proposed resolution providing for certain terms and covenants relating to Limited Tax
General Obligation (LTGO) Bonds to provide funds with which to pay for portion of

7. Proposed ordinance amending Title 7 and Chapter 3.01.050, Rate Table D of the
Bremerton Municipal Code (BMC) legalizing the keeping of chickens within the
Bremerton City Limits — Roy Runyon, Public Safety and Parks Committee Chair Study
Session on Ocfober 27, 2010; General Business on November 3, 2010
C. GENERAL COUNCIL BUSINESS
Council Committee Chairs provided briefings on their Committees, and general information
was shared.
