SUMMARY: The Puget Sound Region Council recently announced Economic Development District
(EDD) Public Works Prioritization Process grants. Public Works is applying for a grant to construct a
Downtown Streetscape Promenade and Retail Connector to be constructed from downtown to
Evergreen Park
ATTACHMENTS: Council Summary
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The grant is for $3,000,000. It requires up to a
20% match depending upon the economic status of the City. The match (if required) will be the
funds used for the Washington Avenue sewer and two projects will be combined into one project.
