WHEREAS, The Bremerton - Charleston Transportation Company
has advertised a route for the Naval Avenue "Jitney" over Fifth,
Veneta, and Boston Streets in the city limits of Bremerton, and
WHEREAS, there is no public demand for such a "Jitney" route
in view of the fact that such territory is already served, and
FURTHER, that the present route of such Naval Avenue "Jitney"
turning West on Fourth Street from Paoifio, tends to cdn$eat
traffic and increase the danger of that intersection. Now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton
that the Bremerton - Charleston Transportation Company be directed
to operate Naval Avenue "Jitney" as follows: From Bremerton -
Charleston "Jitney" stand at Front and Pacific Streets north on
Pacific Avenue to Fifth Street and west on Fifth Street to city
limits, and return over the same route; and that the City Attorney
be directed to notify the said Company in writing of this Resolution.
Passed by the City Commission in regular session assembled
and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authen-
tication of such passage this 2d day of January, 1924.
