VJTEREAS it has come to the attention of the City Commissioners
of the City of Bremerton that what is known as the Wild Cat Lake
Project will be completed to the intersection of the old road,
but that an additional mile or more of improvement and construction
Is necessary to put such road in good condition for travel and to
avoid the dangerous places now existing on the old road, and
WHEREAS the completion of such road together with the new
construction under the present plans is absolutely necessary to
aceomodate the tourist traffic and commercial traffic between the
City of Bremerton and the Seabeck ferry,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Bremerton in regular session assembled, that while this Com-
mission does not intend to interfere with, nor in any manner at-
tempt to dictate to the County Commissioners of .Litsap County as
to the manner of handling funds in said County, yet it is the
consensus of opinion of this Commission that the completion of
such road will do more to advertise Kitsap County to the tourists
passing thru the Couaty-to the Olympic Peninsula, and will do more
to induce settlement than the completion of any other present con-
templated project, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Commissioners be urged
to complete such project with such new construction as may be re-
quired at the earliest possible moment if they can see their way
clear so to do. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Board
Y
of County Commissioners of said County, with the understanding that
1
this Resolution is merely for the purpose of endorsing such project,
and assuring tham of the support of this Commission in the completion
of same.
