Si;�AI[tY: The City of Bremerton is entering into an agreement with the City of Forks for
additional prisoner jail services. Services will be limited to daily bed availability. Charges for service
will be offered at a$45 per day.
ATTACHIVIENaS: Interlocal Agreement for prisoner confinement senrices.
FISCAI.. IlViP'ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): In 2010 the City budgeted, after the 7uly
adjustment, $622,000.00 for care and custody of prisoners. This agreement with the City of Forks
provides a lower cost alternative to the Kitsap County Jail for housing some qualifying prisoners.
This option gives staff flexibility in incarceration strategies to help ease the costs and. meet a tight
budget.
The City of Forks agreement will accept prisoners as jail population allows at a daily rate of $45.00.
With confinements of 365 days, the daily rate will be lowered to $40.00.
