SIJMMARY: The action before the Council is to conduct a public hearing and pass an Ordinance
amending BMC Chapter 17.04 to adopt the 2009 editions of the International Building Code,
Interna.tional Residential Code, Intemational Mechanical Code, International Property Maintenance
Code, Interna.tional Fuel Gas Code, and the Uniform Plumbing Code, as amended by the Washington
State Building Code Council or published by the Intema.tional Code Council; repeal the adoption of
the Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code; and in addition make minor
housekeeping amendments for proper references in the BMC.
