SUMMARY: Kenneth W. Bagwell is leaving the City's employment and his position will remain
vacant. In order to meet the current work load and to work within current budget constraints the City
Attorney desires to retain his services through a contract on a limited basis for general municipal
representation. The proposed professional services agreement retains Mr. Bagwell's firm from July
2010 through June 2011.
ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Professional Services Agreement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Funds are currently budgeted for 2010 and will be
budgeted in the 2011 budget for the City Attorney's Office to fulfill the terms of the contract.
Anticipated savings are $50,000 for budget year 2011.
