SUMMARY: Three proposals were received in response to a request from the City for furnishing
12.5% bulk sodium hypochlorite to the Westside WWTP. OLIN CHLOR ALKALI Products in
Tracy, California submitted the lowest responsive proposal at 57.9 cents/gallon delivered, including
tax. This award to the supplier will have firm pricing for a period of one year, from the time the
proposal agreement is signed. The cost per ga.11on from the supplier will include all costs (freight and
taxes).
ATTACHMENTS: Sodium Hypochlorite proposals from HASA Inc, JCI Jones Chemicals Inc and �
OLIN CHLOR ALKALI Products.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This purchase is budgeted through the WWTP
Operating Supplies Budget of $220,000.00. Bars #535.8032.53110.
