SUMMARY: The City Attorney's Office employs outside legal counsel to assist in the representation
of the City of Bremerton in specialized areas. Gordon Thomas Honeywell assists in representing the
City with issues related to a contingent loan agreement entered into with the Kitsap County
Consolidated Housing Authority. On August 21, 2009 the City Attorney's Office entered into a legal
Services Agreement with Gordon Thomas Honeywell. Staff anticipates that expenditures may exceed
$25,000 and therefore is asking for council approval to continue retaining their services.
ATTACHMENTS: Legal Services Agreement with Gordon Thomas Honeywell executed on August
21, 2009.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Professional Services are currently budgeted in
the City Attorney's budget.
