SUMMARY: The City of Shelton currently has an existing Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement
with the City of Bremerton and has determined that cancellation of the agreement is in the best
interest of the City. Shelton currently has the necessary ability to perform routine and on-going
maintenance of its traffic signals. Since Shelton will require assistance occasionally, the City is asked
to provide interim support on an on-call basis. Bremerton has performed maintenance on Shelton's
traffic signals for many years and has an excellent working relationship with Shelton staff. Shelton's
infrastructure is known and understood by Bremerton staff, and any work done would be fully paid
for by Shelton.
ATTACHMENTS: 1. Intergovernmental Agreement.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Fiscal impacts are unknown at this time as this is
an on-call agreement without scheduled maintenance or repairs. Proceeds from work performed under
this agreement will be deposited in the "miscellaneous revenue" of the 102 fund.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Interlocal Agreement for Interim Traffic
Signal Repair and Maintenance Services between the City of Shelton and the City of Bremerton and
authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and
conditions as presented.
