SUMMARY: In 2008, the City applied for a Local Parks Grant from the Washington Wildlife and
Recreation Program grant which is administered by the Washington State Recreation and
Conservation Office to help fund the Evergreen Pazk Expansion and Shoreline Restoration Project.
The City ranked first of 76 applications submitted statewide, and has been offered a$500,000 grant.
The requested action before the City Council is approva.l of Grant Funding from the Recreation and
Conservation Office for the Evergreen Park Expansion and Shoreline Restoration project.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The budgeted amount for the Evergreen Park
Redevelopment Project is $2,385,000. The WWRP-LP Grant provides partial funding for the project.
