A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, changing the name of Magnuson Way to
Schley Boulevard.
WHEREAS, Magnuson Way and Schley Boulevard were created by the United
States of America in 1945 with construction of the original Eastpark development,
WHEREAS, the redevelopment of Eastpark has removed a portion of Magnuson
Way to provide more appropriate development of the site. However, in doing so, has now made
Magnuson Way no longer continuous from Schley Boulevard to Lower Wheaton Way and
creating confusion for the traveling public,
WHEREAS, City staff has contacted and received approval from all outside
agencies concerned with street name changes, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Name Change. The name of the city street Magnuson Way from ,
Schley Boulevard to Lower Wheaton Way is hereby changed to Schley Boulevard.
SECTION 2. Severabilitv. If any one or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full
force and effect. ,
' SECTION3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
