SUMMARY: Three proposals were received in res�onse to a request from the City to complete
sanitary sewer repairs in Cambrian Avenue from 13 Street south to Wycoff Avenue. Michels
Corporation in Salem, Oregon submitted the lowest responsible, responsive proposal for $72,803.27
(including sales tax).

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This project is funded by the 2009 Wastewater
Fund Substandard Main Replacement.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to award a contract in the amount of $72,803.27 (including
sales tax) with Michels Corporation for construction of the project titled "Cambrian Avenue Sewer
Repair" and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same
terms and conditions as presented.
