SUMMARY: The attached agreement with the Recreation and Conservation Office will provide
$500,000 to assist with the redevelopment of Lions Park. The funds will be used to construct
improvements contained in the Lions Park master plan adopted July 9�', 2009. Additional financial
support for the project has been secured from the Bremerton Central Lions Club and the Washington
State Department of Ecology.
This grant is administered by the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office, the funding
source is the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund.
ATTACHMENTS: Land and Water Grant Agreement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $300,000 of Real Estate Excise Tax
Project will reduce M and O by replacing older, existing high maintenance park facilities.
