CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MINUTES OCT 2009
Wednesday, September 23, 2009
The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City Council
Conference Room 603, of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER, 345 6 Street, Bremerton,
Washington, Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at 5:00 PM, with Council President Cecil McConnell
presiding. Council Members present were Nick Wofford, Will Maupin, Dianne Robinson, Roy Runyon,
Adam Brockus, and Brad Gehring. Council Members Mike Shepherd and Carol Arends were absent.
Council Assistant Christine was present to provide staff support.
President McConnell emphasized that the Study Session was open to the public, however there would
be no opportunities for input or participation; that no action will be taken, and the content of these items
is subject to change.
A. NO DISCUSSION PLANNED - The following items are budgeted items or have been reviewed by
the appropriate Council Committee; and will be placed on the next Council Meeting Agenda for
action:
1. Agreement with WEST® for Westlaw Research Subscription – Roger Lubovich, City Attorney;
and Will Maupin, Public Safety, Parks, & Planning Committee Chair Consent Agenda
2. Professional Services Agreement with PARAMETRIX for Shoreline Master Program (SMP) Update;
and 2009 Budget Adjustment – JoAnn Vidinhar, Assistant Director of Community Development
Department; and Will Maupin, Public Safety, Parks, & Planning Committee Chair General
Business
3. Proposed Resolution affirming support of the 2010 Census; and approving a Partnership
Agreement with the U.S. Census Bureau – Cecil McConnell, Council President General

4. Results of Energy Audit – Phil Williams, Public Works & Utilities Director; and Brad Gehring,
Public Works Committee Chair Information only
5. Receive and Review Financial Report for six months ending June 30, 2009; and Update on 2010

A discussion of General Council Business was held and Committee Chair Reports provided.
President McConnell adjourned the Study Session at 7:05 PM.
