SUMMARY: The City Attorney's Office is transitioning prosecution in-house. The prosecutors
selected to staff the office are both seasoned attorneys. The individual selected for the Assistant City
Attorney 1 position has six years experience handling prosecution cases. Staff is requesting
authorization to hire the Assistant City Attorney 1 position at Payband 13, Rate 6 and the Prosecutor 1
position at Payband 7, Rate 2.
ATTACHMENTS:
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The City Attorney's Office 2009 budget contains
adequate funds to fund these positions.
