ORDINANCE NO. A q 9 q
AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, changing the boundaries of City Council
District 1 to include recently annexed property.
WHEREAS, on January 17, 2007, City Council passed Ordinance No. 4997
annexing certain property to the City of Bremerton and establishing the effective date of the
annexation as February 1, 2007. The annexed property is depicted on Exhibit A attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Charter authorizes the City Council to change
the boundaries of existing districts by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the property annexed is adjacent to City Council District 1 ofthe
City of Bremerton; NOW THEREFORE
. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The property annexed by Ordinance No. 4997 and depicted on
Exhibit A is hereby assigned to Bremerton City Council District 1.
SECTION 2. Severability. If anyone or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this ordinance are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion of this ordinance and the same shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force ten
(10) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
