SUMMARY: Sealed bids for construction ofthe project titled "Jackson Park Water Main" were
opened on June 2, 2009. The engineer's estimate for this project is $300,000. Ten (10) bids were
received for thisptoject. SECO LLC was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder with a bid of
$179,170.18 (including sales tax).

FISCAL IMPACTS: The project is funded by the Water Utility Fund. The engineer's estimate for
construction was $300,000. The 2009 budget for this project is $335,000. Based on the construction
bid amount, total expenditures for this pro{ect are estimated at $230,000.
