Camera Van

SUMMARY: The approved 2009 budget for ERR includes replacement of the City's sewer camera
van. The approved budget for the project is $177,000. Since this budget estimate developed we
located an almost new demo unit including the vehicle, as well as the required TV equipment at a
substantial discount from new price schedules. The total cost for the unit is $210,168.15, including
sales tax. A budget adjustment to the 510 in the amount of$35,000 to be taken from excess reserves
in vehicle 0372 is also requested. The vendor is CUES NW in Welches, Oregon. This purchase
requires a sole source designation for CUES NW based on the discounted price and the generation of
sales tax revenue to the City of Bremerton. The discount is 41 % and CUES NW is also waving the
$4,500 delivery fee.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The approved 2009 budget is $177,000. This
purchase requires a budget adjustment to $212,000 for purchase of the van and video system and to
cover installation of a two-way radio and lighting not included with the new van.
