SUMMARY: The Interlocal Drug Task Force Agreement replaces the agreement dated June 30,
2006. The agreement identifies law enforcement agencies, counties and cities that participate in the
drug enforcement task force. The document references the appropriate RCW s for authorizing,
organizing and conducting the drug task force according to State requirements. The terms, conditions,
recitals and the Task Force's purpose are defined and stated in the document. One Bremerton Police
Department detective is assigned to WestNET and funded through the annual Police budget.
ATTACHMENTS: Interlocal Drug Task Force Agreement
FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The agreement has provisions that the Task
Force's Governing Board will provide $15,000.00 towards overtime expenses per year at the assigned
detective's rate.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Interlocal Drug Task Force Agreement that
provides law enforcement services and support for the West Sound Narcotics Enforcement Team
(WestNET) and Drug Task Force, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as contained in the proposed agreement.
