SUMMARY: Change Order Number 1 for the project titled "Southwest Bremerton Residential
Sewer Extension Force Main" provides for additional costs incurred to date due to differing site
conditions. The estimated cost of the change order is $391,492.84. An additional $250,000 is
estimated to be required to complete the project.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Construction of this project is funded by a
revenue bond. The 2009 budget for this project, including construction of the force main and the
pump station, is $3,730,000. An additional budget authorization of$230,00~will be required.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve Change Order Number 1 to the Southwest
Bremerton Residential Sewer Extension Force Main project in the amount of$391,492.84 (including
sales tax) and authorize the Mayor to approve a second change order of up to $250,000 and increase
the 2009 SW Bremerton Residential Sewer Extension budget to $3,960,000.
