SUMMARY: The 2009 Budget shows two arrow boards and two variable message boards due for
replacement. All of the old equipment is obsolete and repair parts are unavailable. It is the intent of
the Fleet Man-ager to replace this equipment with four standard arrow boards and one variable
message board. The old equipment is powered by a diesel engine, the replacements will be powered
by solar energy. The City of Bremerton will save money by utilizing a sole source contract and
purchasing locally with United Rentals.
