RESOLUTION NO. 30 as
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, approving and authorizing a sole source
contract for the purchase of four standard arrow boards and one
variable message board due for replacement.
WHEREAS, BMC 2.76.090 provides exemptions to the competitive bidding
! requirements for the City of Bremerton under certain circumstances where purchases are subject
i to special market conditions or where bids would not be practicable or in. the City's best
! interests; and
WHEREAS, BMC 2.76.040 provides for a local preference when reviewing bids;
and
WHEREAS, the City will save money by purchasing four standard arrow boards
and one variable message board locally; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to waive the bidding requirement and
· authorize a sole source contract with United Rentals for the purchase of four standard arrow
: boards and one variable message board due for replacement; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
'DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The recitals set forth above are hereby incorporated as if set forth
i SECTION 2. The bidding requirements for the purchase of four standard arrow
: boards and one variable message board are hereby waived.
I SECTION 3. The Fleet Manager is authorized to purchase four standard arrow
boards and one variable message board from United Rentals in the amount of $40,040.82
including sales tax.
SECTION 4. Severability. If anyone or more sections, subsections, or
; sentences of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
; affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full
'force and effect.

SECTION 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
