Ecology for the Former Chevron Property.

SUMMARY: The Washington State Department of Ecology has offered the City a Remedial Action
Grant to provide 90% reimbursement of costs associated with the implementing the Agreed Order at
the former Chevron Property. The Grant has essentially the same terms and conditions and will
replace the 75% reimbursement Grant approved by the City Council on June 4, 2008. $1,176,750 is
offered at this time.

FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This grant provides funding for the Remediation
Work at the former Chevron Property. This is not included in the 2009 budget.
