SUMMARY: Budget year 2009 shows authorized replacement of four staff vehicles. Three are 1999
Ford Taurus' and one is a Ford Crown Victoria. The requested vehicles are 2009 Dodge Avengers
If., purchased off Washington State Contract #04508. The authorized dealer under this contract is
Dwayne Lane Fleet HQ of Everett, W A. Total cost for this purchase (without police equipment) is
$75,877.16 including sales tax. The replacement vehicles will be placed on a 10-year linear
replacement collection within the ERR Fund (Department 46, Fund 510) based on their final cost to
the City. The EPA mileage rating ofthese vehicles is 19 mpg city and 27 mpg hwy.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Replacements are funded through Fund 510.
Total cost is estimated to be $80,000, including the purchase cost, equipment, and labor necessary to
place them into service. The Police Department will be responsible for any costs incurred that exceed
the amount available in the Fund 510 for replacements.
