(8) Police Patrol vehicles

SUMMARY: Budget year 2009 shows replacement of eight (8) Ford Crown Victoria patrol vehicles
for the Police Department. Cost for the purchase of the eight vehicles (without police equipment) will
be $210,493.08 including sales tax. These vehicles will be purchased off Washington State Contract
# 04608. The authorized dealer is Columbia Ford of Longview, Washington. The replacement
vehicles will be black and white and placed on a 6-year linear replacement collection within the ERR
Fund (Department 46, Fund 510) based on their final cost to the City. The EPA mileage rating of
these vehicles is 17 city and 25 hwy.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Replacements are funded through Fund 510. Total
cost is estimated to be $304,000, including the purchase cost, equipment, and labor necessary to place
them into service. The Police De ill be responsible for any costs incurred that exceed the
amount available in the Fund 0 for replac ents. .
