SUMMARY: The Bremerton Police Department applied to the Washington Auto Theft Authority and
was awarded $30,000.00 for the purchase of one auto license plate reader (ALPR) for the Auto
License Plate Recognition Program. No matching funds,are required ofthe City. The total grant.
amount is $30,000.00. The grant expires June 30, 2009.
ATTACHMENTS: The ALPR Camera System Proposal
FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): None. The ALPR funding is a revenue source for
$30,000.00. It will provide dollars for training, equipment and installation. The revenue and
expenditures are in the 2009 budget.
